Krug在1843年由創始人Joseph Krug在蘭斯創立，是香檳區極負盛名的香檳廠之一。Krug現隸屬於LVMH集團，目前由Margareth Henriquez擔任總裁，家族第六代Olivier Krug擔任總經理。雖然酒莊總部位於蘭斯，不過在Clos d'Ambonnay也有一個全新的釀酒廠，預計於2023年開始營運。

Joseph Krug認為香檳真正的本質是為人們帶來快樂，因此他更希望每年都能釀造出最好的香檳，最終創造了Grande Cuvée。不管天氣如何變化，酒莊都會密切注意葡萄園的特色，尊重每個地塊與葡萄酒的特性，並建立一個來自不同年份的龐大儲備酒庫，使創始人的理想能夠實現；現今儲備酒庫已經儲存了150種葡萄酒。
